www.auralex.com and check out their product called "GRAMMA"

Basically its a foam pack whcih seperates your cab from the ground, lowers the low end vibrations and supposedly improves the mic'ed tone. They're only like $50 apeice, so its worth trying.

i had the back off the Rivera a-fixin to swap the speakers from the Marshall cab when i noticed the speaker wire in the Rivera cab was a little loose...put it into place and VOILA! it works...tested recording it and it DID sound pretty damn good!

i A/B'd the clean sounds from the Marshall cab and the Rivera and the Rivera cab clean sounded a bit sweeter...the Marshall still was bright like i like it but the Rivera had a nice tone to it. the Rivera was thicker on the distorted side while the Marshall was a bit meaner sounding...still i could EQ the Guv'NA for a bit more treble and be pretty damn close.
